This two year old filly got loose, and ran up the racetrack. She ran directly into a 6" PVC pipe. She tore the muscle and flesh from the greater sternum area. This included the clavicular part of the muscle pectoralis major, and part of the cervical subcutaneous muscle. A large open wound resulted. There were no stitches or sutures. Penicillin was administered.
On day seven they began laser treatment The filly was lasered twice a day for 15 days. The first picture was taken on day seven.
The second picture was taken after 15 days of treatment. Notice the substantial healing that has taken place, and the impressive closure of the wound.
The next 20 days, the filly was lasered once a day for 15 minutes. The final picture shows the end result, after 35 days of laser treatment . She has a small scar about 8" long. The muscle tissue has regenerated and the area has healed beautifully. This we can see! By the use of ultra-sound imagery we can see the same type of impressive healing in soft tissue.
I have been using these 3 pictures for many years to illustrate the healing power of the Respond Laser. Amazingly these were lasered with our original 2400 laser.
The ability to heal quickly and strongly has not changed. But, we now have the ability to treat in seconds with deeper penetration. The newer electronics, including digital, have allowed us to fire a stronger, and better laser diode.
We have two models to choose from. Our acclaimed 2400 XL, and the economical Impulse. Both have a choice of heads ... check them out!
